The Executive Director, Data Lineage Delivery Lead joins the Firmwide Chief Data Office Strategy and Execution team to lead the first tranche of a firmwide data lineage program. This leadership role involves driving governance, orchestration, and consistent execution across multiple business, technology, and control partners. You will own the integrated roadmap, managing sequencing, trade-offs, and decision-making while removing blockers through structured working sessions. Key responsibilities include mobilizing steering forums, standardizing reporting processes, and ensuring delivery artifacts support auditability and traceability. You must demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint. The role requires experience in data lineage programs, data cataloging, metadata management, and big data platforms. You will solve complex data risk problems by aligning stakeholders on completion criteria and implementation evidence expectations within a matrixed environment.
Lead the delivery of the firmwide data lineage program and integrated roadmap.
Mobilize and run a firmwide governance model including steering forums and escalation paths.
Align stakeholders on delivery approaches, completion criteria, and implementation evidence expectations.
Consolidate business and technology plans into a single view to manage critical paths and trade-offs.
Standardize planning, reporting processes, and templates to improve transparency and reduce manual effort.
Own program controls including risks, actions, issues, decisions, and dependencies.
Establish measurable success metrics and provide consolidated progress reporting to senior stakeholders.
Ensure delivery artifacts support auditability, traceability, and evidence expectations.
What we're looking for
Ten years or more of relevant industry experience, including senior program leadership for complex, cross-functional initiatives.
Demonstrated experience leading enterprise-scale programs across multiple organizations and technology teams, including senior stakeholder governance and escalations.
Proven experience delivering data lineage programs, including building and managing integrated roadmaps across multiple teams.
Demonstrated ability to establish and run governance, decision-making, escalation, and execution cadence in a matrixed environment.
Strong stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills, including the ability to communicate complex topics succinctly.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience.
Familiarity with data lineage capabilities and tooling, including data cataloging and metadata management solutions (preferred).
Technical knowledge of data management or governance, big data platforms, or data architecture (preferred).
Master of Business Administration or other advanced degree (preferred).
Knowledge of relevant industry data risk frameworks, where applicable (preferred).
