Proficiency in Cadence tools for schematic entry and high-speed PCB layout is preferred, along with knowledge of server control plane architectures and DFT methodologies. This position demands strong technical skills and excellent communication abilities to drive alignment across diverse stakeholders on a project that scales globally and supports Apple’s ambitious technological goals.

What you'll do

  • Lead hardware system design and schematic capture for high-performance compute platforms.
  • Define test strategies, test points, and DFT requirements for ICT, FCT, and DFU.
  • Perform signal integrity simulation, board bring-up, and hands-on debug at various levels.
  • Develop and maintain functional specifications and validation procedures for complex systems.
  • Execute compliance testing and protocol analysis for high-speed digital interfaces.
  • Support factory builds and sustaining engineering activities through mass production.
  • Drive issues to root cause using EE lab equipment like oscilloscopes and logic analyzers.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or equivalent experience
  • 7+ years of hardware/systems engineering experience
  • Expertise in digital communication interfaces and signal integrity fundamentals
  • Broad circuit design experience across power, digital, analog, high-speed communications domains
  • Hands-on PCB bring-up and characterization skills using EE lab equipment
  • Ability to debug complex hardware issues from system level down to transistor level
  • Strong written, verbal, and visual communication skills for technical documentation
