Leidos seeks a Data Center Engineer to support the National Digital Exploitation Center (NDOC) in Bethesda, focusing on maintaining and monitoring data center operations. This role involves collaborating with government stakeholders to establish processes and standards, ensuring compliance through continuous monitoring, and tracking resource consumption such as power, cooling, and rack space. The engineer will manage equipment installation, coordinate vendor support, and oversee security protocols while preparing detailed reports and documentation. Key responsibilities include root cause analysis for operational issues, 24/7 emergency response, and implementing server technologies across diverse configurations. Ideal candidates have experience in data center strategy, power infrastructure management, and must hold DoD 8140/8570 IAT Level II certification. Knowledge of Windows environments, SAN storage administration, and Hyper Converged Infrastructure is preferred.
Define and enforce data center processes and standards.
Monitor compliance with established data center protocols.
Track and report resource consumption for power, cooling, and space.
Coordinate access control and logistics support for the data center.
Manage installation, maintenance, and security of data center equipment.
What we're looking for
Experience managing hardware configuration baselines and data center strategy.
Knowledge of power infrastructure layout, redundancy levels, and techniques.
Ability to monitor environmental sensors and determine issues before system impact.
TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance required or willingness to obtain one.
DoD 8140/8570 IAT Level II certification (Security+, CCNA-Security, etc.).
Strong oral and written communication skills for stakeholder collaboration.
Experience establishing goals and plans that meet project objectives.
