As a Hardware Systems Integration Engineer within the Apple Home group, you will join a multi-disciplinary team to develop and integrate hardware systems for future products. Technical requirements include experience with embedded processor peripheral interfaces including PCIe, USB, I2C, CAN, SPI, and high-speed serial. You will solve complex hardware challenges involving sensors and integrated systems to create groundbreaking consumer electronics.

What you'll do

Define and own complex electrical system architectures and implementations.
Create detailed schematics and manage PCB/flex layout responsibilities.
Perform hands-on hardware bring-up and debugging of new systems.
Conduct hardware validation to ensure design integrity and functionality.
Develop and build prototypes for proof of concept testing.
Select components and perform circuit designs focusing on power and signal integrity.
Execute SPICE simulations to validate electrical designs.
Manage the transition of hardware designs from initial concept to mass production.

What we're looking for

BS in electrical engineering or computer engineering.
MS in electrical engineering or computer engineering (preferred).
3+ years of relevant industry experience focusing on hardware system design.
5+ years of relevant industry experience focusing on hardware system design (preferred).
Experience in electrical design including component selection, circuit design, schematic capture, and PCB/flex layout.
Strong EE fundamentals in analog design, DC/DC, power, signal integrity, and SPICE simulations.
Knowledge of embedded processor peripheral interfaces such as PCIe, USB, I2C, CAN, SPI, and high-speed serial.
Experience with test equipment like oscilloscopes and multi-meters for bring-up, debugging, and validation.
