The candidate will utilize skills in software testing and analysis, Linux command-line knowledge, and an understanding of networking protocols like UDP, TCP/IP, ICMP, and encryption. Preferred experience includes AN/BYG-1 combat systems and Strike Software such as TTWCS, TCIP, and MDS to resolve complex technical issues within the submarine domain.

What you'll do

Analyze requirements documentation to develop methods for validating system requirements through testing.
Create comprehensive test plans, procedures, and reports for cybersecurity systems.
Conduct formal and informal verification and validation tests for corrective changes and planned requirements.
Identify, analyze, and document software, firmware, and hardware defects to troubleshoot with engineering teams.
Configure laboratory environments in accordance with technical drawings and port maps.
Install and test Information Assurance software while providing troubleshooting support at various locations.
Develop and analyze test cases while providing regular progress updates to management.

What we're looking for

Must possess a Department of Defense Secret security clearance at time of hire.
U.S. citizenship is required for access to classified information.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field plus 5 years of experience, or a Master's degree plus 3 years of experience.
Preferred Navy experience as a Submarine Fire Control Technician (FT) or similar roles.
Preferred 5-10 years of experience with AN/BYG-1 combat systems.
Proficiency in software testing, analysis, and assembling/testing computer equipment.
Understanding of networking protocols such as UDP, TCP/IP, ICMP, and encryption.
Basic Linux command-line knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
