As a Cybersecurity and RMF Engineer, Mid, you will join the systems security and network security team to protect Air Force human capital systems. You will supervise a team troubleshooting complex challenges involving network devices, applications, and identifying tools while researching market trends to develop security solutions. Your daily responsibilities include managing infrastructure and cybersecurity controls, performing risk and vulnerability assessments across networks and systems, and utilizing big data analytics to identify advanced threats. The role requires expertise in low-code or no-code systems and specific technical competencies including RMF, NIST 800-53, Zero Trust, STIGs, and ATO packages. You will work within IL5-ready environments, potentially involving DevSecOps pipelines and cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. Candidates must possess a Secret clearance and a Bachelor's degree to manage these critical security infrastructures.
Identify tools and recommend security strategies to protect military infrastructure.
Supervise a team troubleshooting complex network and security device challenges.
Research technology and market trends to develop advanced security solutions.
Assess security threats and implement infrastructure controls using low-code or no-code systems.
Manage infrastructure and cybersecurity controls, including detection and vulnerability capabilities.
Lead risk and vulnerability assessments across networks, systems, and applications.
Utilize big data analytics to identify and mitigate advanced threats.
Develop RMF alignment for solutions, including evidence generation and continuous monitoring.
What we're looking for
2+ years of experience with RMF, NIST 800-53, Zero Trust, STIGs, vulnerability management, ATO packages, POA&Ms, continuous monitoring, or secure cloud.
Experience in cybersecurity engineering and RMF alignment for solution support, including infrastructure controls and evidence generation in IL5-ready environments.
2+ years of experience setting up or working with DevSecOps pipeline security tools, scanning, and reporting.
2+ years of experience supporting and helping configure in a DevOps team.
Experience developing SSP or ATO packages for systems deployed in Microsoft Azure, AWS, or DoD cloud environments.
Optional certifications include AWS/Azure/Google Cloud Provider, DoD 8570 IAM II (SecurityX, CISM, CISSP), or DoD 8570 IASAE Level III (CISSP-ISSAP, CISSP-ISSEP, CCSP).
