As a Cyber Tech Operations Level 2 Engineer, you will provide senior operational engineering support for cybersecurity platforms and services across production and hybrid environments. You will serve as a bridge between lower-level operations, platform teams, and incident response leadership to ensure service stability and readiness. Your daily responsibilities include handling escalated issues, performing triage, managing major incidents, and developing repeatable runbooks and SOPs for junior teams. You will also validate monitoring, manage configuration assurance, and oversee patching and vulnerability remediation. The role requires expertise in Windows, Linux, and Mac OS environments alongside cloud technologies including AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, Kubernetes, and containerized services. Essential technical skills include scripting and automation using PowerShell, Python, Bash, Ansible, or Terraform, while utilizing Jira and Confluence to manage workflows within an ITIL framework for cybersecurity infrastructure.
Provide advanced operational support for cybersecurity platforms, including incident triage, patching, and vulnerability remediation.
Resolve escalated technical issues involving infrastructure dependencies, monitoring workflows, and service availability.
Act as an Incident Manager during major outages by coordinating response activities and tracking resolutions.
Create and maintain runbooks, SOPs, and troubleshooting guides to enable consistent execution by lower-level support teams.
Validate monitoring, alerting, and operational acceptance criteria for newly onboarded cybersecurity services.
Manage cloud and hybrid platform operations across AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, and Kubernetes environments.
Develop and maintain operational metrics, service health reports, and incident trend tracking for leadership.
What we're looking for
Must have 6+ years of experience in platform engineering, infrastructure operations, cybersecurity technology operations, production support, or service operations.
Must have 3+ years of experience supporting Windows, Linux, and Mac OS environments including system health, patching, and troubleshooting.
Must have 3+ years of experience supporting cloud/hybrid infrastructure including AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, containers, and Kubernetes.
Must have 3+ years of experience using scripting or automation tools such as PowerShell, Python, Bash, Ansible, or Terraform.
Must have 3+ years of experience with ticketing, workflow management, incident management, change coordination, and problem management.
Must have 3+ years of experience with ITIL, service management practices, and operational governance frameworks.
Experience using Jira and Confluence to manage operations, document runbooks, and track service readiness is required.
Must possess valid and unrestricted U.S. work authorization.
