Cyber Systems Engineer – Level 3 (26-367) joins the Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications team to support critical missile defense operations. This role focuses on ensuring system authorization by leveraging Assessment & Authorization expertise to analyze ACAS/SCC/ConfigOS scans and controls. The engineer will collaborate with internal and external partners to evaluate system vulnerabilities, manage account issues, develop engineering responses for system POA&Ms, and perform risk analysis for Risk Acceptance Requests. Key technical requirements include proficiency in the Risk Management Framework (RMF) 800-53, DoDI 8500.2, STIGs, and eMASS. The role involves managing Cross Domain Solutions, performing self-assessments, and handling patch and configuration management for complex enterprise systems. This position addresses the technical challenge of networking and synchronizing autonomous sensor and weapon systems to provide a coordinated response to ballistic missile threats across various flight phases.
Analyze ACAS/SCC/ConfigOS scans and controls to support ongoing system authorization.
Evaluate system vulnerabilities and manage account issues for C2BMC and external partners.
Develop engineering responses for system Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M).
Perform risk analysis for Risk Acceptance Requests (RAR) to ensure mission continuity.
Create and maintain system packages within eMASS or Xacta platforms.
Review scan data, STIGs, and RMF controls to ensure compliance with security standards.
Accredit Cross Domain Solutions (CDS) and manage associated cybersecurity documentation.
Manage Cyber Tasking Orders (CTO), IAVMs, and patch management for complex enterprise systems.
What we're looking for
A Bachelor's degree in a related field with 5 years of experience, a Master's degree with 3 years of experience, or 9 years of relevant work experience.
Must possess a current, active DoD-issued Top Secret security clearance at the time of application.
Must have a current, active DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher (e.g., Security+ CE, CCNA-Security, CySA+, CND).
Solid cybersecurity engineering skills with working knowledge of DoDI 8500.2 and the Risk Management Framework (RMF) 800-53.
Comprehensive understanding of ACAS/SCC outputs and hands-on experience reviewing scan data, STIGs, and RMF controls.
Experience with eMASS and accrediting Cross Domain Solutions (CDS).
Strong skills in preparing technical documents and effective verbal communication.
Experience managing Cyber Tasking Orders, IAVMs, and POA&Ms; working with third-party auditors; and knowledge of patch management (preferred).
