Cyber Software Engineering Department Manager 3

What you'll do

• Manage a multi-discipline engineering team supporting various programs, projects, and initiatives.
• Provide direct performance feedback and career development mentoring to team members.
• Perform technical work and oversight for at least 50% of the total role.
• Ensure offensive cyber engineering personnel meet technical requirements for supported programs.
• Manage staffing requirements, workload forecasting, and the hiring process for new requisitions.
• Communicate critical information to employees to maintain productivity and engagement.
• Identify and develop internal talent through rotational opportunities and performance management.

What we're looking for

• US Citizenship is required.
• Active Secret clearance is required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret/SCI security clearance is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or other Engineering field with 12 years of experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other Engineering-related fields.
• MS degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or other Engineering field with 10 years of experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other Engineering-related fields.
• PhD degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or other Engineering field with 8 years of experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other Engineering-related fields.
• 8 years of proven leadership skills in functional engineering management.
• 5 years of technical manager experience.
• Experience leading multi-discipline engineering teams.
• Experience building a strong culture and high performing work environment (preferred).
• Experience in multiple relevant technology areas such as application software development, GUI design, web applications, embedded software, or software security (preferred).
• Ability to showcase company capabilities to customers to support business development (preferred).
• Proven collaboration with program managers and customer representatives to meet program objectives (preferred).
• Experience with U.S. Government contracts (preferred).
• Experience in all aspects of the Engineering processes and Offensive Cyber Software development (preferred).
• Master's degree in a relevant engineering technical or management specialty (preferred).
