Cyber Security Compliance Liaison
The Cyber Security Compliance Liaison serves as the primary interface between Governance, Risk & Compliance, Internal Audit, external auditors, regulators, and internal technical teams. This role is responsible for reducing the operational burden of audits on engineering teams while improving evidence quality, remediation tracking, and compliance consistency across the cybersecurity program. You will coordinate audit activities, facilitate evidence collection, and manage auditor interactions for Cyber Defense and Cyber Engineering organizations. The role involves driving AI-enabled capabilities such as automated evidence collection and continuous control monitoring. Key technical domains include Security Operations, Threat Intelligence, Incident Response, Identity & Access Management, Vulnerability Management, and Cloud Security. You will navigate complex frameworks including ISO 27001, SOX ITGC, NIST CSF, TISAX, NIS2, Cyber Resilience Act, and ISO 21434 to ensure a continuously audit-ready environment for the organization's cybersecurity infrastructure.
Serve as the primary liaison between technical engineering teams and internal/external auditors or regulators.
Coordinate audit readiness activities for multiple frameworks including ISO 27001, NIST CSF, SOX ITGC, and TISAX.
Facilitate evidence collection and manage direct interactions with auditors to reduce operational burden on technical teams.
Oversee the tracking and governance of remediation efforts across various cybersecurity programs.
Drive the adoption of AI-enabled capabilities for automated evidence collection and continuous control monitoring.
Provide executive reporting on audit status, control validation, and compliance consistency.
Manage compliance activities across diverse domains including Cloud Security, IAM, Vulnerability Management, and Incident Response.
What we're looking for
7+ years of experience in Cybersecurity, IT Audit, Information Security, Compliance, Risk Management, Audit Management, or related fields.
Deep understanding of Cyber Defense operations, Security Engineering functions, technical controls, and enterprise cybersecurity governance.
Working knowledge of SOC, Incident Response, Threat Intelligence, Detection Engineering, Vulnerability Management, IAM, Security Architecture, Cloud Security, and Infrastructure Security.
Strong understanding of frameworks including ISO 27001, NIST CSF, TISAX, SOX ITGC, NIS2, CRA, and ISO 21434.
Demonstrated experience coordinating evidence collection and audit activities involving highly technical engineering and security teams.
Experience coordinating internal/external audits, customer assessments, or regulatory reviews (preferred).
Experience supporting highly regulated environments with complex technical control requirements and managing remediation tracking (preferred).
Experience with AI-enabled tools, automation, specific platforms like ServiceNow or Workiva, and professional certifications such as CISSP or CISA (preferred).
