Cyber Defense Training Lead

What you'll do

• Design and publish structured training curricula for Cyber Defense topics including Microsoft Sentinel, detection engineering, and AI/LLM security.
• Build and maintain hands-on lab modules within the Cyber Range to simulate real-world detection and response workflows.
• Manage the full lifecycle of the Cyber Defense Training program, including cohort intake, live instruction, and post-cohort retrospectives.
• Develop and deliver specialized training on AI/LLM security risks and introductory penetration testing for various internal audiences.
• Create and manage assessment instruments to quantify participant knowledge gain and report performance metrics to leadership.
• Maintain and innovate Cyber Range infrastructure by managing network hardware, complex topologies, and system documentation.
• Provide information security expertise during risk assessments to balance business needs with security requirements.
• Ensure all training programs and technical operations comply with internal policies and regulatory requirements.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• 8 or more years of relevant experience.
• Experience designing and delivering technical security training for SOC, incident response, and threat hunt audiences.
• Proficiency in configuring networking devices, cloud environments, and operating systems including Windows, Linux, and macOS.
• Intermediate scripting skills in Bash, Python, or PowerShell.
• Experience with infrastructure as code, CI/CD pipelines, and Git workflows.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Sentinel or comparable SIEM/SOAR platforms.
• Ability to develop assessment instruments to quantify learner knowledge gain and report metrics to leadership.
