JOB TITLE: CVD Process Engineer - Days The CVD Process Engineer - Days joins the process engineering team to support semiconductor fabrication. This role involves new process qualification, tool-to-tool output matching, and maintaining process health. You will build and implement process controls, develop rework procedures, and design defense lines to prevent excursions. Daily tasks include monitoring SPC charts, gathering metrology data, and performing process recipe transfers from parent lines. You will work with senior engineers and device physicists to scale thin film processes including ALD and PECVD. Required skills include a bachelor’s degree in an engineering or related science discipline, knowledge of CVD chemistries, logic circuits, and statistical process control. You must also be proficient with Microsoft Windows applications to manage troubleshooting plans and process reference books.

What you'll do

  • Transfer and qualify process recipes from parent lines to production.

  • Use statistical tools to ensure process matching across different fabs and tools.
  • Monitor SPC charts to maintain process performance within optimal ranges.
  • Respond to process abnormalities by creating troubleshooting and corrective action plans.
  • Design experiments with senior engineers to improve yield, reliability, cost, and throughput.
  • Develop abnormal product rework and disposition plans.
  • Maintain and update a process reference book on a weekly basis.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline (Chemical, Electrical) or related degree (Materials Eng, Physics, Chemistry, etc.).
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
  • Fundamentals of statistical process control (SPC).
  • Fundamentals of CVD chemistries and logic circuits.
  • Basic project management skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Windows based applications.
  • Authorization to access information subject to U.S. export control laws.
