The CPU Implementation Lead Engineer joins the Silicon Engineering Group to lead and participate in critical CPU IP delivery. The engineer will work with the partition implementation team to manage trade-offs between area, frequency, performance, and power while removing bottlenecks to meet design targets. Key responsibilities include defining and enhancing RTL-to-GDS flows through synthesis and place-and-route processes while mentoring junior engineers. Required expertise includes chip implementation from definition to silicon correlation, high performance microprocessor architecture fundamentals, and logic design principles. Technical skills involve experience with deep submicron technologies, transistor level design, device physics, and scripting in Perl or TCL to optimize power, performance, and area for CPUs.
