JOB TITLE: Corporate Librarian
The Corporate Librarian joins the Corporate Engineering Library within the Business Operations Group to support global employees in accessing research publications and technical information. You will implement, maintain, and enhance library systems and services while evaluating the deployment of AI-enabled search and discovery technologies. Daily responsibilities include conducting reference interviews, providing training on library resources, and managing the library website and information architecture. You will interface with vendors and publishers to manage subscriptions and content access while ensuring alignment with licensing and governance requirements. Key skills include experience with SharePoint-based knowledge repositories, discovery platforms, and authentication systems like OpenAthens or Shibboleth. This role solves the technical challenge of improving research workflows and knowledge access within a complex semiconductor and manufacturing industry environment.
Implement, maintain, and enhance library systems and AI-enabled research technologies.
Assist employees with information retrieval, reference interviews, and training on library resources.
Interface with vendors and publishers to manage subscriptions and content access.
Maintain the library website, information architecture, and related resource access points.
Monitor developments in AI-enabled research tools and recommend improvements to library services.
Provide library support for company initiatives and cross-functional projects.
Evaluate library technologies to improve cross-functional workflows and system integration.
What we're looking for
Master's degree in Library and Information Science.
Semiconductor, technology, or manufacturing industry experience, or a bachelor's degree in engineering, physical sciences, or a related technical field.
Experience administering or maintaining SharePoint-based information resources and knowledge repositories (preferred).
Experience with library systems, discovery platforms, databases, or related information management technologies (preferred).
Knowledge of emerging AI technologies and their application to information discovery, enterprise search, research workflows, and knowledge management (preferred).
Familiarity with OpenAthens, Shibboleth, or similar authentication systems (preferred).
Experience supporting knowledge management, enterprise search, AI-enabled research tools, or digital transformation initiatives (preferred).
Self-starter who can operate independently (preferred).
