CoOp - Electrical Engineer (Internship)
The DUV Reticle Stage IBS MDU team is seeking a co-op student to support the engineering of a precision mechatronic subsystem within DUV lithography systems. You will investigate, evaluate, and help qualify alternative electrical connector solutions to replace existing LEMO connectors. Your daily responsibilities include researching commercially available technologies, identifying critical requirements, and collaborating with electrical, mechanical, and mechatronics engineers to validate promising concepts. You will plan and execute engineering tests to characterize performance, analyze results for risks, and document technical findings. Required skills include a strong foundation in electrical engineering fundamentals, circuits, signals, and electrical measurements. You must be able to interpret schematics and datasheets while using laboratory equipment like digital multimeters and oscilloscopes. Familiarity with MATLAB or Python is beneficial for this hardware engineering role.

What we're looking for
Must be a college junior or senior pursuing a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
Must be available for a 6-month co-op assignment.
Must have a strong foundation in electrical engineering fundamentals, including circuits, signals, and electrical measurements.
Must have experience with common electrical laboratory equipment like digital multimeters and oscilloscopes through coursework, projects, or previous experience.
Must be able to read and interpret electrical schematics, component specifications, and supplier datasheets.
Must be able to develop a structured test approach, collect measurement data, and draw engineering conclusions.
Familiarity with MATLAB, Python, or similar engineering analysis tools is beneficial (preferred).
Previous experience with connector design, signal integrity, reliability testing, or electromechanical hardware is beneficial (preferred).
