Control Manager - Vice President joins the Controls team within Consumer & Community Banking to oversee the control environment for the Chase Branded and CoBrand Credit Card Business. This role involves spearheading forward-thinking control strategies, performing top-down risk analysis, and executing root cause analysis and remediation. The individual will manage anti-fraud and cybersecurity initiatives while partnering with product and partner channel teams to strengthen infrastructure for new features and data transfer processes. Key responsibilities include designing change management strategies, leading cross-functional teams, and delivering high-impact presentations to senior management. Required skills include risk management, advanced data analytics, automation strategy, and technical acumen regarding API integrations and data transfer protocols. The role requires deep regulatory knowledge and experience in the credit card industry to manage complex risks within a large-scale financial services environment.
Design and execute forward-thinking control strategies to proactively identify and neutralize compliance and operational risks.
Utilize advanced data analytics and automation to decode business needs and deliver solutions for the control environment.
Assess and strengthen controls regarding infrastructure, product features, and data transfer processes between Chase and partners.
Lead anti-fraud and cybersecurity initiatives to protect operations against emerging threats.
Perform top-down risk analysis, real-time issue detection, root cause analysis, and remediation.
Manage complex stakeholder relationships across Legal, Compliance, Audit, and Risk departments to ensure regulatory alignment.
Evaluate the adequacy of controls for data transfer protocols and API integrations between internal systems and external partners.
Develop and implement change management strategies for complex initiatives while minimizing operational disruption.
What we're looking for
7+ years of experience in financial services, specifically in controls, audit, quality assurance, or operational risk management.
Ability to make independent risk-based decisions and develop control frameworks while advising stakeholders on regulatory knowledge.
Experience designing and executing change management strategies for complex initiatives with minimal disruption.
Proven ability to influence and negotiate with cross-functional partners across Legal, Compliance, Audit, and Risk departments.
Proficiency in creating high-impact presentations and executive-level communications for senior management.
Ability to conduct sophisticated analysis to identify root causes and evaluate trade-offs in ambiguous situations.
Working understanding of data transfer protocols, API integrations, and technical infrastructure supporting partner product enablement.
Experience in the credit card industry or with CoBrand technology ecosystems (preferred); deep policy/regulatory expertise or data automation strategy (preferred).
