Contracts Manager
The Contracts Manager joins the team to oversee the full lifecycle of government and commercial contracts, ensuring compliance while minimizing risk and optimizing performance across various business lines including Space, Connected Warfare, Mission Systems, Air Defense, and Air Dominance and Strike. This role involves managing CPFF, FFP, T&M, IDIQ, and Other Transaction Agreements while coordinating with legal, proposal, accounting, and engineering teams. Daily responsibilities include contract review, negotiation of complex terms with federal agencies and subcontractors, proposal planning, and providing guidance on FAR/DFARS requirements. The ideal candidate possesses a bachelor’s degree in business or a related field and extensive experience in defense contracting. Key skills include analytical problem-solving, risk mitigation, and strong communication to support national security through technological innovation in areas like software-driven space capabilities and advanced hardware systems.
Manage the full contract lifecycle for government and commercial contracts including proposal support, negotiation, and close-out.
Ensure all contracts comply with federal regulations, legal requirements, and internal company policies.
Negotiate complex contractual terms with federal agencies, prime contractors, and subcontractors.
Provide guidance on FAR/DFARS requirements and other regulatory considerations to internal teams.
Develop and implement new contract policies and processes to improve organizational efficiency.
Maintain comprehensive documentation and compliance records for all active contracts.
Provide program managers and executives with regular contract briefs and risk mitigation strategies.
What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree in business administration, government, or a related field.
5+ years of experience with full life cycle contract management for CPFF, FFP, and T&M government and commercial contracts.
Strong working knowledge of US Government contracting including FAR/DFARS experience.
U.S. Person status is required to access export-controlled data.
Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
Experience with U.S. DoD major weapons platforms (preferred).
NCMA Certifications such as CPCM, CFCM, or CCCM (preferred).
Graduate degree in business, law, government, or a related field (preferred); experience with CAS, FAR cost allowability, and Certified Cost or Pricing Data Proposals (preferred); Secret or Top Secret clearance (preferred).
