Consultant, Software Engineer

What you'll do

• Develop, test, debug, and deploy software applications according to established standards and optimal practices.
• Mentor and train team members on design techniques, coding standards, and technical tools.
• Apply secure software and systems engineering practices to protect data from threats and vulnerabilities.
• Champion the use of DevSecOps practices, tooling, and techniques throughout the delivery lifecycle.
• Provide strategic advice on using technology to achieve business goals and project objectives.
• Manage individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables for the team.
• Lead technical direction and provide guidance on complex software development problems.

What we're looking for

• 7+ years of hands-on experience working with Guidewire products, specifically Guidewire Policy Center.
• Six years of experience in programming and systems analysis.
• Proficiency in one programming language such as Java, C++, Python, or JavaScript.
• Understanding of SQL databases, including the ability to write queries.
• Knowledge of API integrations using Apigee, event streaming using Kafka, and cloud platforms like AWS.
• Experience with monitoring tools (New Relic, Splunk), version control (Git), and Agile methodologies.
• Undergraduate studies in computer science, management information systems, mathematics, or a related field (preferred).
• Work authorization.
