JOB TITLE: Consultant, Product Management
The Consultant, Product Management joins the PowerEdge Product Management Team to own the end-to-end planning and execution of PowerEdge offerings. This role involves leading the entire product lifecycle, from initial definition and roadmap planning through production, release, and ongoing maintenance. You will collaborate with the CTO, engineering, and strategy teams to define market roadmaps, develop business cases for senior leadership, and evangelize the portfolio to sales teams and customers. The position requires dual technical and business fluency in data center technologies, including enterprise compute, storage, AI/GPU compute, networking, and power/cooling infrastructure. You will manage BOM costing, P&L ownership, and pricing strategies while navigating complex hardware solutions, evolving AI architectures, and constrained supply environments to deliver enterprise-scale infrastructure programs.
Own the end-to-end planning and execution of PowerEdge offerings.
Define the market, product roadmap, and execution strategy with the CTO and engineering teams.
Develop and present solid business cases to senior leadership for the product portfolio.
Evangelize the PowerEdge portfolio to internal sales teams and external customers.
Drive roadmap planning and execution across cross-functional teams.
Manage the full product lifecycle from definition and planning through to production and release.
Oversee modifications, upgrades, and maintenance of the product line.
Coordinate cross-functional efforts across supply chain, engineering, and procurement to deploy complex hardware solutions.
What we're looking for
Typically requires 12+ years of related experience in a professional role.
Must possess dual technical and business fluency with expertise in data center technologies, including enterprise compute, storage, AI/GPU compute, and networking.
Must have a history of driving commercial outcomes including BOM costing, P&L ownership, and pricing strategy.
Must have end-to-end program leadership experience coordinating cross-functional efforts to deploy complex hardware and infrastructure solutions.
Must possess customer-facing executive presence to engage with enterprise or CSP stakeholders on technical architecture and business commitments.
Must be able to operate in ambiguity, navigating evolving AI architectures and constrained supply environments with strategic problem-solving.
Bachelor's degree; or 8+ years and a Master's degree; or a PhD with 5+ years experience; or equivalent experience (preferred).
