Staff Software Engineer, Infrastructure

What you'll do

• Define technical direction for platform architecture, runtime capabilities, and security models for multi-tenant workloads.
• Design and implement platform APIs and Kubernetes controllers in Go for lifecycle management and isolation.
• Partner with product teams to develop the roadmap for core compute infrastructure and customer features.
• Lead high-impact initiatives regarding workload scheduling, networking architectures, and fleet-wide resource management.
• Conduct technical design reviews to ensure services are secure by default and aligned with platform goals.
• Mentor engineers through code reviews, pair programming, and guidance on best practices for scalable development.
• Manage operational excellence including reliability, performance, incident response, and disaster recovery for critical services.

What we're looking for

• Must have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• Must have 10+ years of relevant experience delivering scalable backend, infrastructure, or platform software in production.
• Must possess deep expertise in Kubernetes, including controller development and multi-region/multi-cluster architectures.
• Must be proficient in Go, Scala, C++, or other statically typed programming languages for building production-grade services.
• Must have experience with multi-tenant platform architectures and security isolation patterns like namespaces, network policies, and identity management.
• Must have hands-on experience with secure container runtimes and Linux internals such as Kata containers, cgroups, and seccomp.
• Must have experience working with public cloud platforms including AWS, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and Microsoft Azure.
• Must demonstrate technical leadership in mentoring engineers and driving cross-functional alignment on architecture and strategy.
