Senior Software Engineer, Cloud Platform

What you'll do

• Design and implement complex backend services in a cloud-native, microservices-based environment.
• Make architectural decisions regarding reliability, scalability, performance, and operability while communicating trade-offs.
• Manage the full project lifecycle from initial requirements and design through implementation and production rollout.
• Improve service reliability by defining SLOs/SLAs and strengthening system observability.
• Define APIs, integration points, and data models to ensure platform coherence across teams.
• Drive internal improvements in tooling, automation, and processes for the engineering organization.
• Mentor other engineers through code reviews, design reviews, and technical guidance.

What we're looking for

• Master's Degree (preferred).
• 4+ years of experience designing, building, and supporting backend systems in production with a focus on quality and documentation.
• Strong programming and algorithmic skills in a major language such as Python, Go, C/C++, or Java.
• Strong knowledge of Python runtime environments including virtual environments and package management.
• Experience running services in public clouds (AWS, GCP, or Azure) using containers and orchestration like Docker or Kubernetes.
• Expertise in other Language Runtimes or VMs such as JVM or WASM (preferred).
• Proven track record of technical leadership, including driving projects, influencing architecture, and mentoring others.
