What you'll do

  • Architect and develop cloud-native, multi-tenant backend services for the Stream Governance platform.
  • Lead the end-to-end design and implementation of complex microservices in a distributed environment.
  • Manage mission-critical services with 99.99% availability across multiple global cloud regions.
  • Make high-level architecture decisions balancing reliability, scalability, performance, and operability.
  • Provide technical leadership by mentoring engineers through code reviews and design evaluations.
  • Drive project lifecycles from initial requirements and design through production rollout.
  • Evaluate and improve the platform's technology stack using modern industry best practices.
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to define and execute the product roadmap.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent practical experience required.
  • Master's Degree (preferred).
  • 8+ years of industry experience designing, building, scaling, and operating backend systems in production.
  • Deep proficiency in a major backend language like Java, Go, C/C++, or Python with strong fundamentals in data structures and algorithms.
  • Hands-on experience with distributed systems, event-driven architectures, and large-scale data pipelines.
  • Experience operating production services in public cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure) using Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Proven track record of technical leadership, including mentoring teams and influencing architecture decisions.
  • Familiarity with data streaming technologies such as Apache Kafka or Apache Flink (preferred).
