Principal Engineer

What you'll do

• Architect, design, develop, and operationalize high-performance network data plane platforms for containerized workloads.
• Drive technical initiatives in networking, cloud infrastructure, and multi-tenancy to impact business goals.
• Lead a team of engineers to deliver high-quality software projects in production environments.
• Define the architecture and roadmap for large-scale distributed systems and infrastructure projects.
• Collaborate with product teams and cloud providers to solve complex technical problems.
• Contribute to and leverage open source software while engaging with the upstream community.
• Troubleshoot and improve operations for a complex stack involving microservices, containers, and virtualization across three clouds.

What we're looking for

• Master's Degree (preferred).
• 12+ years of relevant cloud infrastructure or cloud networking experience.
• Strong fundamentals in distributed systems design and development.
• Experience driving vision and technical roadmap as an architect for large scale platforms or infrastructure teams.
• Experience leading a team of engineers to deliver complex infrastructure projects.
• Proficiency in C++, Go, Python, or other statically typed languages.
• Experience building/managing Layer 7 proxies like Envoy, Kubernetes networking, or open source contributions (preferred).
