Composite Technician

What you'll do

• Cut, lay up, fabricate, cure, and assemble various types of composite products and assemblies.
• Build laminated assemblies by determining proper placement and laying up composite plies onto tools or molds.
• Fit up assemblies to critical reference points while ensuring coordination of parts to exacting tolerances.
• Prepare parts for bagging by placing bleeders, thermocouples, probes, and vacuum connections.
• Check seals on completed bagged parts to ensure they are leak-free.
• Set up assemblies in processing and curing equipment such as autoclaves or ovens.
• Operate oven controls to maintain specific temperature, pressure, and time cycles per engineering specifications.
• Identify and correct manufacturing defects as required during the production process.

What we're looking for

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
• 1-3 years of Composite Fabrication or equivalent experience (preferred).
• Experience collaborating cross functionally (preferred).
• Polished communication and presentation skills (preferred).
• A bias towards action (preferred).
• Excellent customer service skills (preferred).
• Ability to prioritize tasks efficiently (preferred).
