Senior Manufacturing Engineer, Development

What you'll do

• Build novel composite designs and assemblies for various UAV platforms in a hands-on manufacturing environment.
• Guide early-stage product designs to ensure high levels of manufacturability before official design release.
• Lead the initial builds of composite components and tooling in coordination with cross-functional teams.
• Create, review, and release technical documentation including work instructions, MBOMs, and quality plans.
• Bridge communication between engineering data packages and technicians to ensure hardware is manufactured as designed.
• Solve manufacturing problems within a schedule-driven environment while meeting strict quality specifications.
• Develop manufacturing processes to reduce risk when transitioning products from prototype phases to full production.
• Lead root cause corrective actions (RCCA) to eliminate production blockers and recurring issues.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering or technology related field.
• 5+ years of experience in composite manufacturing within a development environment.
• Experience with multiple processes including filament winding, autoclave processing, VARTM, prepregs, and hydraulic press processing.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings including GD&T.
• Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (NX preferred).
• Demonstrated in-kind or direct team leadership skills.
• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. TS clearance.
• Experience supporting aerospace, defense, automotive, or energetics facilities (preferred); experience in AS9100/NADCAP facilities (preferred); proficiency in TeamCenter (preferred).
