What you'll do

  • Support AMER Sales team by leading negotiations for complex and strategic agreements.
  • Advise on commercial and legal issues related to new product launches and international expansions.
  • Collaborate with Product Legal to bring innovative products and features to market efficiently.
  • Develop and maintain Stripe’s commercial legal infrastructure, including drafting agreements and playbooks.
  • Train the Sales team on selling Stripe’s products effectively and deliver necessary resources.
  • Serve as a point of escalation for outside counsel in legal matters.

What we're looking for

  • 5+ years of experience as a transactional lawyer in-house or at a top tech law firm.
  • Admitted to practice law in at least one US state with a JD degree or equivalent.
  • Proven ability to advise on complex commercial and legal issues, including product launches and international expansions.
  • Experience drafting agreements and maintaining legal playbooks for efficient operations.
  • Strong communication skills to distill key risks and explain complex issues clearly.
  • Collaborative team player who can guide cross-functional teams towards win-win solutions.
