As a Cloud Security Engineer, you will join the team to develop cloud-based security architectures for mission-critical systems within the Intelligence Community. The role requires expertise in the Risk Management Framework, Agile environments, and infrastructure code concepts like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Bicep. You will also utilize COTs, GOTS, and open-source tools to implement security architectures while ensuring standards are met for critical government information systems.

What you'll do

Develop cloud-based security architectures for mission-critical systems within the Intelligence Community.
Support documentation, validation, assessment, and accreditation processes to ensure IT systems meet Information Assurance requirements.
Analyze actual state information against defined risk thresholds to assess organizational compliance.
Advise leadership on codifying strategic objectives into formal doctrine and procedures.
Evaluate computer applications and software programs to ensure they follow software assurance best practices.
Research and recommend tools and capabilities for on-premise, cloud-based, and hybrid environments.
Implement the cloud security architectures, tools, and processes defined during the design phase.

What we're looking for

Must have an active TS/SCI clearance and willingness to take a polygraph exam.
Must possess 5+ years of experience building and administering cloud environments using cloud-native functionality and various tools.
Must have experience with security architecture evaluations, guidance development, and troubleshooting.
Must have experience with the Risk Management Framework (RMF).
Must have experience working in an Agile development environment.
Must have knowledge of Infrastructure code concepts such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Bicep.
Must meet specific education and experience combinations: Associate's with 10+ years IT experience, Bachelor's with 8+ years, or Master's with 6+ years.
Must be able to obtain DoD 8570 IAT Level III and CSSP-IS certifications within 30 days of start date.
