Cloud Platform Engineer, GCP

What you'll do

• Design, implement, and operate GCP infrastructure including networking, identity management, compute, storage, and monitoring.
• Develop and maintain reusable Infrastructure as Code using Terraform for environment configuration and automated deployment.
• Implement GitOps-based delivery workflows using Argo CD to manage Kubernetes configurations via Git.
• Build and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Bamboo, or Jenkins with integrated security checks.
• Implement cloud security monitoring, threat detection, and incident triage capabilities across the infrastructure.
• Manage observability by creating dashboards and alerts for platform performance, capacity, and cost.
• Migrate existing workloads to GCP while improving reliability, scalability, and operational readiness.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring on Agile methodologies and DevOps engineering standards.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in a related field; preference for Computer Science, Engineering, or Physics.
• Hands-on experience designing, deploying, and operating production workloads on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Strong hands-on experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code including modules, state management, and automated deployment.
• Experience implementing security threat detection and monitoring for cloud environments, including logging and incident triage.
• Strong understanding of cloud security including IAM, least privilege, network security, and secrets management.
• Experience creating and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Atlassian Bamboo, or Jenkins.
• Strong Linux/UNIX and scripting skills using Bash, Python, and/or Go.
• Candidates must be legally authorized to access controlled technology as defined in U.S. Export Administration Regulations.
