The Cloud Developer Principal joins the software engineering team to support the design, development, engineering, integration, testing, implementation, and sustainment of critical cloud technologies. You will build scalable, resilient, and secure cloud-based applications and services while migrating legacy on-premise systems to cloud environments. Daily responsibilities include automating deployment pipelines, integrating identity and directory services, and ensuring solutions adhere to cybersecurity best practices like zero-trust and RBAC. You will utilize AWS Cloud Computing, GitHub, and tools such as Lambda, EC2, S3, RDS, Docker, CloudFormation, and Ansible. Required skills include Python, Bash, Jenkins, and GitLab CI. This role addresses the technical challenge of modernizing Department of Defense Architecture Framework viewpoints and supporting Air Force Special Operations mission objectives through robust cloud infrastructure.

What you'll do

  • Develop, integrate, and maintain cloud-hosted applications and services.
  • Build elastic, highly available, and fault-tolerant cloud solutions using modern architectures.
  • Automate deployment pipelines and infrastructure using CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code.
  • Migrate legacy on-premise systems to cloud environments using automation tools.
  • Integrate cloud applications with identity, authentication, and directory services.
  • Ensure solutions adhere to zero-trust, RBAC, and cybersecurity best practices.
  • Perform hands-on coding, testing, and deployment to support project milestones.
  • Maintain documentation for cloud environments, configurations, and deployment artifacts.

What we're looking for

  • Must be a US citizen.
  • Must possess an interim Secret clearance and be able to obtain a Secret clearance.
  • Must possess a current DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II certification (Sec+ CE or equivalent).
  • Must hold an AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate certification.
  • Must have a BS in a related technical field or equivalent experience.
  • Must have 5+ years of combined DoW and/or commercial industry IT experience.
  • Must have experience implementing or sustaining enterprise-level solutions in a production cloud environment.
  • Linux+ certification is desired (preferred).
