What you'll do

  • Develop, implement, and refine clinical decision support systems and information technology processes.
  • Manage the procurement, customization, and continuous improvement of clinical information systems like Oracle Health EHR.
  • Map, assess, and redesign clinical and operational workflows affected by EHR deployments.
  • Evaluate and refine medical terminology, knowledge artifacts, and clinical content to ensure optimal system performance.
  • Perform risk identification, safety impact assessments, and issue tracking to resolve workflow problems.
  • Identify data anomalies and provide advanced analytics to support post go-live operations and research.
  • Create educational materials and lead super-user support activities to improve user adoption and competency.
  • Act as a liaison between clinical care teams and information technology departments throughout project lifecycles.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor of Arts (BA) or Bachelor of Science (BS) degree required.
  • 5+ years of related experience.
  • Experience working in clinical informatics or a clinical setting with health IT experience.
  • Knowledge of Veterans Health Administration workflows.
  • Extensive knowledge of Oracle Health platforms and electronic health record systems.
  • Direct experience with Oracle Health systems enterprise-wide EHR deployments.
  • Expertise in public health data structures, syndromic health monitoring, medical surveillance workflows, and standard medical terminology.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Level 5 clearance.
