What you'll do

  • Build the clinical data feature store by establishing standards, documentation, and best practices for downstream analytics and AI use cases.
  • Develop well-documented, validated, and reusable data assets including tables, views, and features to empower data scientists.

  • Translate complex clinical concepts into analytical frameworks for non-technical business partners.
  • Collaborate with data engineering teams to inform the development of pipelines that ensure proper data ingestion and transformation.
  • Ensure all clinical data management complies with HIPAA, data privacy regulations, and internal stewardship policies.
  • Maintain expertise in clinical data standards including HL7, FHIR, ICD-10, SNOMED-CT, LOINC, and RxNorm.

What we're looking for

  • 2+ years of relevant experience in clinical informatics, healthcare analytics, or clinical data management.
  • Knowledge of clinical coding systems including ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS, SNOMED-CT, LOINC, NDC, and RxNorm.
  • Proficiency with SQL and experience working with large-scale healthcare datasets.
  • Familiarity using cloud-based data platforms, preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP) tools like BigQuery.
  • Ability to communicate complex clinical data concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Bachelor's degree in health informatics, Public Health, Nursing, Health Information Management, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Master's degree or higher in Health Informatics, Biomedical Informatics, Clinical Informatics, Public Health, Epidemiology, or a related field (preferred).
