Chief Engineer, Radar joins the Battlespace Awareness Radar team to drive the development of innovative radar solutions for defense missions. This role involves owning stakeholder engagement, product definition, technical roadmap planning, and overseeing the design and development approach for critical radar offerings. The successful candidate will collaborate with internal leadership and external partners to define product strategies, manage technical trade-offs, and lead the tactical execution of prototyping and operational delivery. Required expertise includes a deep understanding of state-of-the-art radar technologies, RF systems, and software development lifecycles. Candidates should possess experience in developing hardware and software products from concept to deployment. Preferred skills include proficiency with JIRA, Confluence, and modeling and simulation tools. The role focuses on solving complex technical challenges in the defense sector by delivering differentiated radar capabilities for land, maritime, or airborne applications.
Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders, customers, and industry partners to align objectives.
Drive radar architecture and product development strategies by evaluating technical tradeoffs and innovation opportunities.
Define a winning product strategy that delivers differentiated value to defense customers.
Develop and communicate the long-term product development roadmap.
Organize and prioritize engineering efforts to optimize resource utilization across functional teams.
Lead the tactical execution of prototyping, development, and operational delivery of radar products.
Translate customer needs into technical requirements for the engineering team.
What we're looking for
Minimum of 4 years experience as a Chief Engineer, Technical Program Manager, Product Manager, Engineering Manager, or Engineer of radar or RF sensors.
Demonstrated understanding of radar system design and state-of-the-art technologies for defense missions.
Experience in the design and development of radar or other RF systems from concept to deployment.
Ability to develop technical roadmaps and shape strategic pursuits.
Strong technical aptitude to understand software development lifecycles, designs, and risks while collaborating with engineering teams.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for engaging with internal and external stakeholders.
Graduate degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, or Software Engineering, or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
