As a Business Systems Engineer within the Tech Foundations team, you will join the global IT Support organization to design and deliver capabilities that improve how employees access technology help. You will be responsible for defining requirements and success criteria for next-generation AI-enabled and conversational self-service tools. Your daily work involves translating complex business needs into functional and technical requirements, creating artifacts like user stories and process flows, and collaborating with Product and Engineering teams to manage delivery workstreams. The role requires expertise in systems engineering, solution design, and IT service management. You will utilize skills in API integration, data flow analysis, identity and permissions, and automation. Specifically, you will apply knowledge of generative AI, virtual agents, and chatbots to optimize the employee experience by identifying patterns in failed interactions and improving the underlying knowledge ecosystem.
Translate IT Support strategy into functional requirements, user stories, and technical implementation plans.
Own the design and delivery of AI-enabled and conversational self-service features for IT support.
Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to align on solution designs, timelines, and testing.
Analyze self-service use cases to recommend improvements based on data and employee impact.
Evaluate AI-driven experiences for accuracy, failure patterns, and appropriate escalation to human agents.
Monitor success metrics using product data and feedback to identify opportunities for optimization.
Map complex system dependencies including APIs, data flows, identity permissions, and security considerations.
Create technical artifacts such as process flows, test plans, and decision documentation.
What we're looking for
7+ years of professional experience in business systems analysis, technical product delivery, systems engineering, solution design, IT consulting, or a related technology role.
2+ years of direct experience delivering AI-enabled or conversational experiences in an enterprise environment.
Demonstrated experience owning features or workstreams within cross-functional technology initiatives including requirements, design, testing, and implementation.
Experience translating complex business needs into clear functional and technical requirements for Product and Engineering teams.
Strong systems thinking and technical fluency regarding integrations, APIs, data flows, identity, permissions, and automation.
Experience in enterprise IT, employee technology, or IT service management with a focus on business processes and workflows.
Experience with enterprise self-service, knowledge, search, retrieval, or content-management capabilities.
Proven ability to build trust and drive alignment across Product, Engineering, Operations, and global stakeholders.
