As a Business Systems Consultant within the Business Technology Solutions Information Research team, you will support the global Development Biological Sciences organization, specifically focusing on Preclinical Safety and Regulated Bioanalysis. You will serve as a critical liaison between business stakeholders and IT to translate complex requirements into scalable, compliant technology solutions. Your daily responsibilities include documenting process flows, identifying improvement opportunities, and managing the full lifecycle of validated GxP systems, including Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS), Concentriq imaging platforms, and WatchDog environmental monitoring applications. You will leverage skills in system ownership, risk management, and requirement definition to drive digital transformation. The role involves utilizing tools like JIRA and Confluence while identifying opportunities for AI and automation to enhance scientific workflows within a highly regulated pharmaceutical and biotechnology environment.
Translate business requirements into scalable technology solutions for the Development Biological Sciences organization.
Serve as IT System Owner for GxP validated systems including LIMS and environmental monitoring platforms.
Manage the full system lifecycle, including documentation, quality compliance, and vendor management.
Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce redundancies in business operations.
Identify opportunities to integrate AI tools into scientific workflows and business processes.
Coordinate cross-functional solution delivery by managing interdependencies between internal teams and external vendors.
Manage project lifecycles including requirements definition, system validation, testing plans, and user training.
Ensure all technology solutions comply with corporate policies, data governance, and regulatory requirements.
What we're looking for
Bachelor's Degree with 7 years’ experience, Master's Degree with 6 years’ experience, or PhD with 2 years’ experience.
Demonstrated experience as a Business Analyst, Business Systems Consultant, or similar role in a technical environment.
Experience as an IT System Owner (ITSO) with accountability for the end-to-end system lifecycle of GxP and non-GxP applications.
Strong understanding of System Life Cycle (SLC), validation documentation, regulatory compliance, IT security, risk management, and enterprise architecture.
Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills to lead cross-functional teams.
Familiarity with system deployment across cloud, on-premise, and hybrid environments.
Experience identifying or implementing AI, automation, analytics, or digital enablement opportunities.
Experience supporting software product development using Agile methodologies and tools like JIRA and Confluence.
