The Business Intelligence Analyst II joins the Sutter Health System Office-Valley as a developing analytical professional who independently manages routine data requests and builds functional proofs-of-concept. This role bridges the gap between basic data extraction and advanced analytics by translating raw data into meaningful operational reports to help business stakeholders make informed day-to-day decisions. Key responsibilities include partnering with end-users to understand operational workflows, translating business requests into technical requirements, and building operational dashboards. The position requires proficiency in data visualization platforms like Tableau and Power BI, intermediate-to-advanced Excel, and intermediate SQL skills for independent data extraction. What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Healthcare Administration, Statistics, Economics, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field (equivalent experience accepted).
4 years of recent relevant experience.
Epic Cogito Certification, Microsoft Certified Power BI Data Analyst Associate, or Tableau Certified Data Analyst within one year.
Solid understanding of data analysis techniques and operational reporting best practices.
Proficiency in data visualization platforms like Tableau or Power BI and intermediate-to-advanced Excel.
Intermediate SQL skills for independent data extraction and exploration.
Strong verbal and written communication skills to translate technical concepts to non-technical business partners.
Ability to work independently to solve common operational questions and manage routine analytical queues.
