The Business Insights & Analytics Data Scientist Intern joins a growing team of data science professionals to support marketing, finance, and business leadership. In this role, you will collaborate with commercial teams to identify and execute analytic efforts that solve business needs, such as estimating marketing channel effectiveness and identifying barriers to care. You will communicate insights to stakeholders, suggest innovations for current approaches, and maintain proficiency in data science methodologies. Required skills include proficiency in Python or R, SQL, Tidyverse, and Pandas, along with experience using AI tools. Candidates should possess research experience in areas like Machine Learning, Causal AI, Time Series, or Natural Language Processing. You will apply these technical skills to healthcare data to inform strategic decision-making and improve patient lives.
Identify and scope analytic efforts to answer specific business questions and solve organizational needs.

Suggest innovations for current analytical approaches and propose potential future projects.

What we're looking for
Must be pursuing a PhD in Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Operations Research, Finance, Mathematics, or another related quantitative field.
Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
Must have proficiency in at least one analytical programming tool such as Python or R.
Must have competency in standard database concepts and the ability to query and join tables via code using SQL, Tidyverse, or Pandas.
Must have research experience in one or more areas including Machine Learning, AI, Clustering, Computer Vision, Causal AI, Time Series, Survival Analysis, or NLP.
Must possess strong analytical skills, business acumen, and the ability to think strategically in ambiguous environments.
Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to translate technical work for business partners.
Prior experience using AI tools in an academic, project, or work setting (preferred).
Experience with healthcare data is a plus (preferred).
