As a Business Analytics Advisor - Clinical & Affordability Trend Analytics - Hybrid, you will join a team dedicated to transforming clinical data into actionable insights within the CHC Risk Ecosystem. You will design and build clinical risk indicators, projection insights, and key performance indicators by connecting claims, authorization, service category, diagnosis, and episode-of-care data. Your daily work involves partnering with cross-functional teams to translate complex relationships between clinical performance and cost-of-care drivers into clear financial impacts. To succeed, you must possess advanced SQL skills, experience with database management systems, and a deep knowledge of healthcare data including diagnosis codes and health plan performance measures. You will also utilize tools like Databricks or AI-enabled platforms to develop analytics. This role solves the challenge of identifying risk drivers and improving decision-making for clinical and affordability partners.
Design and build clinical risk indicators, projection insights, and key performance indicators within the CHC Risk Ecosystem.
Connect claims, authorization, service category, diagnosis, and episode-of-care data to identify risk drivers.
Translate complex relationships between clinical data points into clear financial insights and actionable recommendations.
Lead end-to-end development of clinical insights and affordability opportunities focused on measurable value.
Use internal and external data to link clinical performance with marketplace trends and cost-of-care drivers.
Present complex findings in a clear, actionable way for both clinical and non-clinical stakeholders.
Develop practical analytic capabilities to improve trend analysis and claims insights across various departments.
What we're looking for
5+ years of experience in health plan or health system data analytics, affordability analytics, clinical analysis, or a related healthcare analytics function.
Strong knowledge of healthcare data including claims, provider data, clinical information, diagnosis codes, authorizations, cost, quality, and performance measures.
Advanced SQL skills and experience using database management systems to analyze large datasets.
Ability to translate clinical findings into financial impact estimates and clear recommendations for non-clinical stakeholders.
Strong analytical, storytelling, collaboration, and business partnership skills in a matrixed environment.
Bachelor’s degree in analytics, healthcare, business, finance, informatics, or a related field (preferred).
Experience with Databricks or similar cloud-based data platforms (preferred).
Experience using AI-enabled tools, familiarity with clinical coding/operations, and experience querying EPIC platform data (preferred).
