Quality Engineering Intern

What you'll do

• Develop and maintain Quality Management System (QMS) documentation in compliance with industry standards.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective or preventive actions to improve manufacturing processes.
• Conduct quality risk assessments, data analysis, and product maturity validation to ensure defect-free products.
• Support the implementation of quality metrics and principles to enhance production safety and customer satisfaction.
• Audit supplier quality systems and perform capability assessments to ensure components meet Boeing standards.
• Review sampling plans and First Article Inspections to verify supplier product conformance.
• Monitor supplier performance metrics and manage corrective actions for nonconformance issues.
• Assist in design risk analysis (DFMEA) and verification planning for aerospace products.

What we're looking for

• Must be currently enrolled in a college or university with an expected graduation date on or after August 2027.
• Must be available to work full-time for 10-12 weeks during the Summer 2027 term.
• Must meet Export Control requirements as a "U.S. Person" (U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee).
• Preferred major in core engineering or applied sciences such as Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Materials Engineering.
• Preferred GPA of 3.0 or above.
• Preferred junior or senior class standing.
• Experience with quality management systems, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement techniques is preferred.
• Security Clearance.
