What you'll do

  • Develop and implement innovative AI technologies to improve aerospace products and services.
  • Prepare data for the development and evaluation of machine learning models.
  • Build software solutions that optimize cycle time, cost, quality, and performance.
  • Manage the full machine learning pipeline from initial data collection to model deployment.
  • Solve complex engineering problems by developing innovative technical solutions.
  • Integrate new capabilities into Boeing's end-product deployments over multi-year projects.
  • Utilize programming languages like Python, C++, or Java and tools such as SQL and Tableau.

What we're looking for

  • Must have completed the first year of PhD studies by July 2027.
  • Pursuing a PhD in Computer Science, Aeronautical/Aerospace Engineering, Math, Software Engineering, or a similar discipline.
  • Ability to work full-time for 10-12 weeks during Summer 2027.
  • Experience preparing data for, developing, and evaluating learned models.
  • Proficiency with programming languages and data tools such as Python, Matlab, C++, C, Java, SQL, Teradata, Tableau, Gephi, or Airflow.
  • Master of Science in Computer Science, Data Science, or a similar field (preferred).
  • Must be a U.S. Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 to meet export control requirements.
  • Security Clearance.
