As a Backend Software Engineer III within the Asset & Wealth Management team, you will serve as a seasoned member of an agile team designing and delivering secure, stable, and scalable technology products. You are responsible for executing software solutions, troubleshooting complex problems, and producing architecture artifacts while ensuring design constraints are met by production code. Your daily work involves developing microservices, maintaining algorithms, and utilizing enterprise-authorized AI coding tools to improve delivery speed and quality. The role requires advanced proficiency in Java and Spring Boot, with experience in React, Kafka, Oracle, Aurora, Airflow, and Spark across public and private cloud environments. You will manage large data sets for system improvements while navigating the full software development life cycle, including CI/CD, application resiliency, and security standards to solve critical technical challenges within a large corporate environment.
Create secure, high-quality production code and maintain synchronized algorithms.
Utilize enterprise-authorized AI coding tools for code generation, refactoring, and unit test creation.
Produce architecture and design artifacts while ensuring all design constraints are met by the code.
Analyze large, diverse datasets to create visualizations and reports for system improvement.
Identify hidden patterns in data to improve coding hygiene and system architecture.
Validate AI-generated outputs through peer review, automated testing, and secure coding standards.
What we're looking for
Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years of applied experience.
Advanced proficiency in the Java programming language.
Strong technical skills in developing Microservices using Java and Spring Boot.
Experience building with React, Kafka, Oracle, Aurora, Airflow, and Spark across public and private cloud environments.
Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment using modern programming languages and database querying languages.
Experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools while ensuring output correctness, performance, and security.
Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle, agile methodologies (CI/CD), application resiliency, and security.
Familiarity with modern front-end technologies (preferred).
