AVP, Application Development

What you'll do

• Develop and execute short- and long-range HR technology roadmaps including the integration of AI tools.
• Manage and develop a multi-level team of HRIS analysts, developers, and system administrators.
• Oversee the integration architecture between core HR systems and edge platforms like payroll and benefits.
• Ensure data integrity, security compliance, and adherence to SOX controls across all applications.
• Manage third-party vendor relationships, contract renewals, and the associated HR technology budget.
• Establish KPIs and metrics to monitor system performance, ticket resolution, and user adoption.
• Provide executive leadership on application lifecycle management and internal development standards.
• Translate business objectives into technical strategies while ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field; OR 4 years of relevant education and/or experience.
• 10 years of progressive experience managing all phases of application development and delivering results in a complex matrix environment.
• 6 years of people leadership experience building and developing high-performing teams.
• Broad technical knowledge of web-based architecture, system integration, and object-oriented languages.
• Extensive experience in all stages of the software development life cycle including requirements gathering, design, testing, and implementation.
• Demonstrated financial acumen involving budget management, forecasting, and conducting cost-benefit analyses.
• Understanding of relevant industry frameworks such as COBIT, ITIL, or SAFe.
• Deep HR domain expertise and hands-on knowledge of Workday HCM (preferred); 10+ years of software engineering experience (preferred).
