Automation Test Engineer

What you'll do

• Translate customer IT needs into design specifications, statements of work, and requirements.
• Create and update automated test cases and scripts for software applications.
• Design and execute test plans and procedures to document expected and actual results.
• Manage and generate test data within Linux environments.
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines such as Jenkins.
• Perform functional, integration, regression, and performance testing.
• Conduct backend, API, UI, and database query testing.
• Mentor junior developers to help them grow into solutions architects.

What we're looking for

• 5+ years of experience testing or developing software applications.
• Experience designing and executing test scripts, test plans, and procedures.
• Experience creating and updating automated test cases and scripts.
• Experience working with CI/CD pipelines such as Jenkins.
• Experience with test methodologies, software release cycles, and test effort estimation.
• Experience in Linux environments and generating/managing test data.
• TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph.
• HS diploma or GED.
• Ability to obtain a Security+, SSCP, CCNA-Security, or GSEC Certification within 6 months of hire.
• Experience with programming in Java (preferred).
• Experience with testing frameworks such as Cypress (preferred).
• Experience with testing Cloud-based architectures (preferred).
• Experience with Agile release methodology (preferred).
• Experience in backend, API, UI testing, and DB queries (preferred).
• Experience with functional, integration, regression, and performance testing (preferred).
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or an IT field (preferred).
