Software Test Engineer, Test Automation

What you'll do

• Create, maintain, and execute manual and automated tests for FactoryTalk Optix features.
• Validate design-time and runtime workflows to ensure a reliable customer experience.
• Lead test planning, estimation, execution, and defect triage within an Agile team.
• Reproduce, document, and track defects with clear descriptions and supporting details.
• Support regression, release, and exploratory testing activities for the platform.
• Contribute to test documentation, quality procedures, and the continuous improvement of testing practices.
• Utilize tools such as JIRA, QTest, Confluence, GitHub, and Jenkins to manage quality tracking.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Legal authorization to work in the US is required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in software testing, software development, test automation, or a related technical role (preferred).
• Experience creating, executing, and documenting manual or automated test cases (preferred).
• Experience developing or maintaining automated tests using Python, C#, or similar programming or scripting languages (preferred).
• Experience with Squish and Selenium test frameworks (preferred).
• Familiarity with Linux, CI/CD pipelines, and tools such as GitHub, Jenkins, JIRA, Confluence, or QTest (preferred).
• Exposure to industrial automation, HMI software, PLCs, and protocols such as CIP or OP-CUA (preferred).
