What you'll do

Drive reliability, observability, and efficiency across product teams within your assigned domain.
Identify repeated toil and implement automation to improve operational processes.
Participate in an on-call rotation to respond to production incidents.
Conduct blameless retrospectives and root-cause analyses to drive continuous improvements.
Use chaos engineering techniques to proactively identify failures and potential outages.
Perform design reviews to evaluate failure modes and edge cases.
Implement preventative measures to enhance overall system resilience and availability.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in MIS, Computer Science, or a related field.
Programming skills in one or more languages including Java, Python, Go, or Node.js.
Working experience on IBM Mainframe including TSO/ISPF, JCL, Batch job scheduling, CICS, and RACF.
Basic knowledge of systems architecture, operating system internals, and network fundamentals.
Basic knowledge of application design patterns, event-driven architecture, database schemas, and testing strategies (preferred).
Basic knowledge of cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS, or Azure (preferred).
Working experience with Elixir (preferred).
Basic knowledge of CI/CD, test-driven development, containerization, configuration management, and monitoring tools (preferred).
