JOB TITLE: Associate Director, Cloud Network Engineer
The Associate Director, Cloud Network Engineer joins the Global Network Services team to design, secure, and automate cloud and hybrid network infrastructure. You will own the enterprise GCP network architecture, managing services like VPCs, Cloud Interconnect, Cloud Router, and Cloud Load Balancing across multi-project environments. Key responsibilities include building Terraform modules, developing Python and Ansible automation, and establishing CI/CD pipelines for network change delivery. You will also deploy and operate Palo Alto Networks VM-Series firewalls using Panorama and Strata Cloud Manager. The role requires expertise in BGP, OSPF, and VPNs to solve complex connectivity and security problems. By implementing policy-as-code and network segmentation, you will replace legacy controls with a scalable, observable, and secure cloud network estate that meets strict enterprise governance and compliance requirements.
Design, deploy, and manage enterprise GCP network services including VPCs, Cloud Interconnect, and Cloud Load Balancing.
Build and maintain Terraform modules for multi-cloud network provisioning and infrastructure-as-code.
Develop Python and Ansible automation to eliminate manual provisioning and reduce configuration drift.
Establish and operate CI/CD pipelines for network change delivery, including automated validation and policy-as-code checks.
Deploy and operate Palo Alto Networks VM-Series firewalls at enterprise scale using Panorama and Strata Cloud Manager.
Drive network segmentation and security posture across cloud, data center, and hybrid infrastructure to meet compliance requirements.
Serve as the senior technical authority for troubleshooting complex network failures and participating in on-call rotations.
What we're looking for
Proven experience of 10+ years in enterprise networking, including large-scale cloud environments.
Hands-on experience designing, deploying, and operating Palo Alto Networks firewalls, including VM-Series and Panorama.
Deep hands-on GCP networking experience including VPC, Cloud Interconnect, Cloud Router, Cloud NAT, Cloud DNS, Cloud Load Balancing, and Private Service Connect.
Production experience with network automation and infrastructure-as-code using Terraform, Python, and Git.
Excellent knowledge of networking standards including BGP, OSPF, routing policy, switching, VPNs, DNS, and load balancing.
Working knowledge of AWS and Azure networking, including Direct Connect, Transit Gateway, VPC, security groups, ExpressRoute, and Virtual WAN.
Bachelor's degree or advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Security, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
Google Professional Cloud Network Engineer or Palo Alto Networks PCNSE certification (preferred).
