What you'll do

Design, analyze, modify, test, and evaluate FPGA and programmable hardware using VHDL.
Design complex Circuit Card Assemblies to support avionics and space photonic subsystems.
Prepare component drawings and specifications for complex electro-optical or electro-mechanical products.
Perform system analysis to determine design feasibility within specific time and cost constraints.
Select components and equipment based on technical specifications and reliability analysis.
Conduct experimental tests and use modeling tools to establish and evaluate operating data.
Design and modify tests to verify the operational state and requirements compliance of hardware products.
Communicate technical issues and analysis results to program engineers, management, and customers.

What we're looking for

Applicants must be pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
Applicants must have completed a Bachelor’s degree within the last 12 months.
Must be a U.S. citizen to be eligible for required security clearances.
Knowledge of VHDL, MCM, HFSS, Network, Power, Analog, Antennas, Controls, ENE, RF, Photonics, Modem, EDA, DSP, MATLAB, Communication Systems, FPGA, Aerospace, or Optical Engineering (preferred).
Knowledge of Code V and/or Zemax software tools (preferred).
Excellent communication, technical writing, and presentation skills (preferred).
Knowledge of FRED, Matlab, or Python (preferred).
Familiarity with various computing environments such as LINUX/Windows (preferred).
