Associate AI Engineer

What you'll do

• Improve AI-powered chat and voice services for customer service and lending workflows.
• Build and maintain agent workflows, API integrations, guardrails, and retrieval rules.
• Develop Python services, APIs, and data pipelines to support production AI systems.
• Build automated tests and simulations to measure conversational workflow quality and task completion.
• Analyze production failures and turn evidence into prioritized system improvements.
• Implement deterministic validation and security protocols for sensitive operations and customer data.
• Design controlled experiments and incremental rollouts to measure business outcomes.
• Maintain auditability for workflow changes and production behavior.

What we're looking for

• Must have strong programming fundamentals and practical Python experience.
• Must have working knowledge of SQL and structured data analysis.
• Must have the ability to break ambiguous problems into testable components and read unfamiliar code.
• Must have strong written communication skills and an interest in AI behavior and backend systems.
• Experience building an API, backend service, automation, data pipeline, or internal tool (preferred).
• Experience evaluating LLMs, conversational agents, or other probabilistic systems (preferred).
• Knowledge of experimental design, statistics, causal inference, or applied econometrics (preferred).
• Degree or research background in economics, computer science, statistics, engineering, or another quantitative discipline (preferred).
