What you'll do

  • Manage the Building Automation team to oversee the operation and maintenance of BMS and BAS systems.
  • Lead the Utilities Control System team to ensure the reliable operation of critical utility infrastructure.
  • Drive digital transformation by developing strategies to extract actionable insights from data and information.
  • Create tools, metrics, dashboards, and performance indicators to evaluate control system performance.
  • Optimize control systems to reduce cognitive overload and eliminate alarm fatigue for operators.
  • Develop plans for data visualization, analysis, monitoring, and modeling to support business decisions.
  • Identify and manage asset reliability risks that could impact utility and facility operations.
  • Troubleshoot equipment and system problems to prevent downtime and reduce excessive maintenance resources.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, technology, automation, mathematics, or statistical analysis.
  • At least 7 years of relevant experience in automation, control systems, data analysis, or a related field.
  • Experience developing and maintaining Building Management Systems (BMS) and Building Automation Systems (BAS).
  • Proven ability to lead projects, develop teams, and build team self-sufficiency.
  • Experience leading multiple large-scale automation initiatives, including data management and data governance.
  • Demonstrated skills in written, verbal, and interpersonal communication, technical problem-solving, and building partnerships.
  • Experience with Schneider Electric EBO, ABB DCS, Allen-Bradley PLC, Historians, OPC Servers, Aveva PI, Python, SQL, or SEL SCADA systems (preferred).
  • Experience with Wunderlich-Malec Engineering’s Environmental Information Systems (preferred).
