Distinguished Staff Engineer

What you'll do

• Lead the development and integration of advanced networking products and security technologies for aerospace platforms.
• Apply secure-by-design principles across hardware, firmware, software, and system architectures for mission-critical applications.
• Drive large-scale technical projects from initial concept definition through implementation and transition into production environments.
• Mature innovative security capabilities into scalable, certifiable, and deployable product solutions.
• Define technical strategies and roadmaps for secure embedded and networked platforms aligned with business priorities.
• Conduct security activities including threat-informed design, attack surface reduction, and vulnerability mitigation.
• Document technical designs and innovations through patent applications, technical reports, and internal engineering deliverables.
• Lead technical proposals and response strategies for internal business opportunities and external customers.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum of 15 years of industry experience.
• Active U.S. Government Security Clearance.
• Must be a U.S. Person as defined by export-control regulations.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in the design and development of embedded networked products like routers, switches, or gateways.
• Experience designing secure embedded systems across hardware, firmware, and software layers using platforms such as Xilinx, NXP, or Microchip.
• Experience in networking protocol development, network security, and applying cryptographic standards like NIST.
• Authorized to work in the United States for this opening.
