This role involves implementing U.S. payment rails like RTP, FedNow, and Zelle, integrating SEPA for seamless Euro transactions, and driving ISO 20022 adoption to ensure data-rich interoperability. Key responsibilities include designing high-throughput architectures, managing SLAs, ensuring compliance with NACHA rules and EPC guidelines, and partnering with security teams on real-time risk scoring. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in software engineering leadership within payments or fintech, deep expertise in payment rail technologies, and proven success building scalable systems using cloud-native infrastructure like AWS, Kafka, and distributed databases.

What you'll do

  • Lead engineering and deployment of U.S. payment rails including ACH, RTP, FedNow, and Zelle.
  • Oversee integration and maintenance of SEPA standards for seamless Euro-denominated transactions.

  • Deep hands-on experience with ACH, RTP, FedNow, Zelle, and SEPA payment rail systems.
  • Expert knowledge of ISO 20022, SWIFT MT/MX, and JSON-based API payment protocols.
  • Proven track record managing mission-critical systems with strict uptime and performance requirements.
  • Strong understanding of PSD2, Dodd-Frank, and global money transmitter licensing regulations.
  • Experience building high-scale cloud-native infrastructure using microservices, Kafka, and distributed databases.
